I have already tried almost 20 apps(like screen off & lock) and even with tasker and secure settings, without success. :confused: I don't know what to do.. My question is - ON the S5 - the International and T mobile versions were nearly identical - but on the Note 4 - The US and International Versions were different - and roms were not cross compatible without flashing additional mods. (you could flash virtually any international rom on the T mobile S5 - while on the note4 you had to flash additional mods to make everything work) how will it be on the S6? Hello, So maybe you already laughed a little bit by reading the title of the thread. I had a foam party yesterday and I was stupid enough to have my oneplus one in my pocket. After about 15 minutes I finally realized that it would be a good idea to put my phone away. When I came back home in the night everything was fine but when I woke up today the touchscreen wasn't responding (only physical buttons worked). So I tried to hard reboot the phone and then everything was working again. But after some minutes of use, I noticed that a part of the screen was reacting strangely. I went in the setting to activate the "cursor route" and I saw that there is kind of a band in the middle of the screen (about 1 cm) where the tactile is not working. I removed the back cover and noticed that is was a little bit wet inside .. so I put my phone into some rice. I tried to see how the screen is responding in my recovery (twrp) and the problem is also there, so I'm pretty sure it's

Hiya Everyone, I've just rooted my Nook Simple Touch and have it all working from a USB keyboard which is great! I really need the Nook as my unit has no mains electricity and I use solar panels instead which can be difficult at times as they are mounted in the window and are facing the wrong way really but it is what it is. I know everyone is alarmed at the amount of power it uses when in USB mode but it's nothing compared to the 5 watts my DAB radio pulls! To be honest it's even at lot less than the 1.5watts of the LED light! Anyway it's basically great but I want to get it working as well as I can for my application. I'm using a new text editor from F-Droid called Text Warrior: http://ift.tt/1Mt1opu It's the best text editor I've found for the Nook so far and it's also a GNU application with source code! If you havn't already checked out the F-Droid stuff I really recommend it as a lot of the apps there work on the Nook and it can be hard to find

I seem to have some trouble getting back to the stock kernel of my HOX. Earlier I placed a CM rom, and flashed the kernel according to the CM requirements. Since then I'm experiencing trouble receiving text messages. They only appear when I open my (stock ) text app. I'm also not getting the voicemail icon, when having new voicemails. I flashed the kernel that of my current ROM (via fastboot and app also. both say flashing went ok), but it doesn't seems to change. According to the ROM's information it would be the stock kernel. Am I doing something wrong, and/or could my issues with the text have nothing to do with the kernel? Hi all, after some time in trials to recover the dead LG G2 D802 it has become true. With help of another member of the xda forum I have succeeded to recover the phone. ... But strange things appear after that. The phone does not want to start from the Power-off/on button. Also I can not enter recovery by pressing VolDown+Power. The only thing I can do is to put in DownloadMode. I mean it react to pressing VolUp and plugging it to the PC. Then I can flash it with LG_Flash_Tool_2014 and after that the phone starts. Then I am doing all the initial steps of setting the Android and it is working. I am testing the functionality of VolUp and VolDOwn buttons and seems that they are working fine. If I am not turning the phone OFF all is fine. If I decide to turn it off (by PowerOff) it works a bit strange - when I pres it long it does not give me the options PowerOff, Reboot etc. , but just turn-off the phone. Hello Yes i have red all the posts about imei regarding i9300. With me i have a strange case. the problem is i have my phone on 4.3 firmware and took efs backup in all the ways possible. i can downgrade to any stock firmware.. 4.1.2 4.2.2 too. but i cant update to cm12 or cm 11 because if i did update then my baseband becomes null and there is no imei. but as soon as i flash 4.3 rom i can have my imei and baseband. Hello guys My sister has a Moto G and I helped her update, then wiped her Cache because it was performing very badly. The problem is still there. The keyboard gets stuck; or the keyboard comes up but can't type; or apps not responding, and not able to switch between apps... generally very glitchy and unresponsive. I had thought lollipop would be better on the Moto G, but I know how terrible it was on my Nexus 7... What to do, are you guys getting performance as good/better than kitkat, or is lollipop a no-no on Moto G? Also, I am guessing the only thing I can now do is to do a factory reset/wipe... which my sister will not be happy about... is there anything else I can try before that. After being touted as Samsung's flagship tablet in 2014, it's truly shocking to find out that not only this device came with an outdated SoC and a sub-par battery, but it doesn't even have USB 3.0 support. You gotta be joking Samsung. I have never seen such sleazy cost cutting before, where the manufacturer uses premium parts for the things you can see with your eyes but bargain basement parts bin for everything that goes inside. Moreover, yesterday I find out that Samsung's Lollipop update won't install through the regular update channel because I have made "unauthorized modifications" to my tablet (read rooting my device in order to correct the idiotic deficiencies, such as ridiculously low headphone volume gain). I recently bought a Lenovo s820 it was not until I got the phone did I realize that it has its own security software but its the most aggressive software I've ever come across. The software is called secureit a chinese app created by Lenovo, I rooted my phone to uninstall bloatware most of it being in chinese so I decided to remove the security app but it put a message up on the screen "an android icon and message" telling me of a security error, the message and icon where transparent and not removeable, I had no choice but to find the app again and reinstall but not until after it blocked my sim card. The app scans everything that you do on the phone, every app install requires your permission, every call is scanned as it tells you your call is secure and its always working in the background. The menu is also in chinese and there does not seem to be many ways to customize how it functions. So is there a way to remove it without it bricking my phone or throwing up securit

Hi. I have a problem with this phone by flashing customs ROM. I tried Pure L and CM 11 Based on the 4.4 (both designated for this model) all the instructions at least, I think so. However, this has been unsuccessful, a copy of CWM does not help. When I turn the phone shows the Alcatel logo and then a black screen, enter it normally to CWM, responds to the charger, so completely dead yet is not. Hey, I was on CloudyRom, wanted to go back to Stock. Flashed stock (20h flashable) and it booted all fine. Downloaded supersu from playstore to get root and supersu wanted to go into TWRP. Stupidly enough I didn't think and obviously there is no TWRP in that stock that I flashed... All I get is this green robot "working" with a bar underneath. Can't get into download mode now. Hey guys, I recently upgraded my device to Lollipop via Kies then discovered that it has no support for Arabic language for menus, only for input! KitKat had support for it and I tried downgrading back to it through Odin using official firmwares (multiple versions) but got stuck on boot! The only Lollipop version which is available for this model is USA. I even tried installing official Russian rom (SER) for N900 series which has Arabic support but Odin stopped me with "Failed" message! ROM: LMY47I (unconfirmed on other roms) If you enable lock sound and turn off your phone, listen closely to the speaker and you'll notice the audio channel stays open for a second or two before going off. I don't know if this is how it should be, but why? Can someone else check if they can confirm on his/her device and rom? Maybe it's a general behavior. i was on cloudyg2 3.0 (Lollipop) then i decided to flash resurection remix rom (lollipop) i booted into recovery mode via third party app and flashed rom and gapps and wiped dalvik cache and cache and then rebooted my device. after reboot it stuck on lg logo screen and nothing happens, i tried to go into recovery mode by pressing volume down and power buttons but it reboots on lg log screen and nothing happens.. please help me to fix this problem i dont know what wrong i have done..:confused::confused: from xda-developers http://ift.tt/19o2CR3

I have a problem, I don't use it a lot, but do when I go on vacation. Which only happens about once a year. But after sitting in the drawer for a month or two, I tried to start it, it wouldn't start. Hi guys, wasn't sure where to post this and I've been searching the web for hours without coming up with an answer with the best way to fix the problem I've got. So yesterday my sister gave me her phone saying it was shat and slow and generally rubbish (S4 i9505 running 4.4.2). So I had a brief look at it and she had absolutely no room on the phone at all, it was completely clogged. So I deleted all the cache data (4 gigs!!), as soon as I did this the phone came back to life and started updating everything it could, then made a backup in CWM. Thought while I'm here I may as well put the official Lollipop firmware on it from Sammobile. All was good until I realised that she has never backed anything up to google or any other cloud storage (pretty dumb!) and all of her important stuff I couldn't get back. So I then had to try and extract some data from the CWM backup... couldn't do it. I just couldn't find the files that she wanted restored. Mainly whatsapp me

Hi everybody. Like always, when I get into troubles with my phone I search for XDA's help but thing is, this time I didn't found what I needed. I have HTC Desire Zara UL S-On with unlocked Bootloader and for me it's great phone, kinda like it, but after this mistake I made I'm not that much into it. OK let me start. I had stock KitKat 4.4.2 with HTC Sense 5.5 on it and I decided to install custom firmware on it, CyganMod 12 which has minor bugs, camera, it doesn't see mine Router even tho everything else in my house connects to it without no problems. I tried to find stock ROM to flash it but I didn't had success. Tried to find Custom KK rom for it, no luck. I just ordered my Gear VR and haven't tried it yet so I don't know if such apps exist, but from what I've searched I couldn't find many references to Augmented Reality applications using the headset. The closest thing is the pass-though function that allows you see through the camera, but doesn't seem to provided a lot of added value. There are a lot of standard Android AR apps like Layar, Ingress, Ikea Catalog.. even a simple barcode scanner or a HUD that could be ported to the Gear VR, and combined with the immersion provided by the headset the possibilities could be endless! Good morning everybody, I am a new user but I have been reading you for a little while... Since yesterday I have got a new HTC One M9, it's my first HTC phone and I am still studying it... Before this I had a Moto G (2013) with Lollipop 5.0.2 so I already know some of Lollipop features. Among this, I was successfully using the schedule Interruptions with the "Allow only priority interruptions" mode active. With this option, on the Moto G, when receiving a notification, the led starts blinking but the phone is not either vibrating or ringing (as it should not). On the other hand, on the HTC M9, with this option on, even the led is not blinking (it blinks when I set to have all the notifications active). Are you experiencing the same? Hi guys ^^ I've been using Mokee for a lot of time but the bugs that kept bothering me never got fixed and the updates for p760 stopped coming out so I thought to myself "time to change my ROM". I've tried to flash both Paranoid 4.6 and the newest stable version of Nameless ROM but with both of these my recovery (artas's TWRP) refused to flash GAPPS. I used the recommended gapps and later on tried CM gapps. Both just showed me an error that it can't be flashed. Am I doing something wrong? I do a full wipe before flashing the ROM. I convert everything to 640x360 so i can as many video`s on my microsd, i use the free Handbrake software using the free THandBrake GUI to batch convert subtitled video`s as Handbrake does not support batch subtitles, also with THandBrake you can convert by files size, i watch a lot of animi and convert them to 80-100mb for each 25min episode. Do you watch 1080p or 720p or even 4k as i have never tried it, what conversion software do you use. Have you tried the new H.265 codec, as it can make video`s 50% smaller, though the stock Samsung player does not support it, but you can download a few players that will mx player is one. I have always used my p6 without any cover, as I find it a very attractive phone. The problem is that, after a year and a half, the back cover was full of scratches. So I though, what would happen if I rub out the black tint from it? Sry, my english is truely not the best, but I think you can understand me :D I have a problem: I cant play Voice-Messages in Whatsapp. I have this problem since I installed cyanogenmod10(primoU) on this phone (HTC One V). When I touch the play-button |> the button shortly goes blue but nothing happens. I found out that on this android version the AAC-Codec is not supported, which is used from whatsapp. I tried install a lot of music-player apps (hoped to give android the codec it needs), but that didnt solved the problem.
